In the end, enjoying life’s experiences is the only rational thing to do. You’re sitting on a planet spinning around in the middle of absolutely nowhere. Go ahead, take a look at reality. You’re floating in empty space in a universe that goes on forever. If you have to be here, at least be happy and enjoy the experience. You’re going to die anyway. Things are going to happen anyway. Why shouldn’t you be happy? You gain nothing by being bothered by life’s events. It doesn’t change the world; you just suffer. There’s always going to be something that can bother you, if you let it.
~ Michael A. Singer
If you could let go of one thing today that would have the greatest impact on your life and maybe offer you a deeper sense of happiness what would that be?
For me it’s this idea that I’m not enough. This old belief that I’ve carried around with me for a very long time. It has taken many shapes and forms and has even been defined as a multitude of “issues” and yet at the root, it’s this illusion that I’m not enough that has caused my greatest suffering. I could go on and explain where it came from and why I’ve carried it around with me, but to be honest that wouldn’t serve anyone.
Life has lead me to see this idea as the illusion it is. I have actively and openly chosen to let it go. To give the energy back to where ever it is that it came from. To be honest I’ve been kinda selfish! It was never my truth or energy to hold on to in the first place.
What’s one thing that you could let go of today that would have the greatest impact on your life?
What ever it is for you, breathe through it and let the light back in.
